zo achteloos mogelijk
alsof je niets verwacht
ga verder waarmee je bezig was
(bijvoorbeeld de afwas)

Als het plots in de kamer staat
onaangekondigd en lichtvoetig
doe dan alsof je het niet ziet
fluit een lied: Nee hoor, ik zie je niet
zie, ik hoor je niet!
STAP 4
Zodra het weer vertrokken is
het blijft nooit langer dan een tel
of twee
neem dan potten en lepels
word een fanfare
bezing het luidkeels!
Disclaimer: Onderscheid klein geluk van groot geluk. Groot geluk kan zo verpletterend zijn, zo opdringerig en allesomvattend. Je moet er ook altijd van alles achter zoeken. Vermoeiend, toch?
Maud Vanhauwaert
Maud Vanhauwaert writes and creates. She obtained a master’s degree in Linguistics and Literature at the University of Antwerp and a master’s degree in Word Art at the Antwerp Conservatory, where she now teaches. For her poetry debut Ik ben mogelijk (2011, publisher Querido) she received the Vrouw Debuut Prize, for her collection Wij zijn evenwijdig_ (2014, Querido) the Hughues C. Pernath Prize and the audience award of the Herman De Coninck competition. In her work she searches for playful theatrical forms to make poetry public. With her performances she has appeared on radio and television, at home and abroad, from opera to sheepfold. She was appointed honorary citizen of the city of Veurne and from 2018 to 2019 she was the city poet of Antwerp. In May 2020, Het stad in mij (Das Mag) was published, which was awarded the Jan Campert Prize 2020. Her debut novel Tosca was published by Das Mag in the autumn of 2023.
