Praat mar Frysk has developed a training on \u2018language behavior and habits\u2019 which is a combination of theory and practice. A \u2018different\u2019 training, for anyone who is interested in the side of language that does not dwell on.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The theory is about the psychology behind language, about language behavior and switching as a habit. This gives you more insight into your own language behavior and your own habits. You can change habits if you want to. We are going to work with that. In addition, there is room for your specific situation and your story.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Praat mar Frysk is the Frisian partner in the European Erasumus + language project LISTEN.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
LISTEN is about the phenomenon that, as a minority language speaker, you often and usually unknowingly switch to the majority language. Whether that begins consciously or unconsciously already in the majority language. That is a universal phenomenon.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Within LISTEN, PmF develops trainings to bring this to the fore. Because why would you sweat when the other person understands you or even speaks the same language as you? Other LISTEN partners are the University of Valencia (Catalan), IAITH (Welsh), Conradh na Gaeilge (Irish) and Sapientia University (Hungarian in Romania), ELEN (European Language Equality Network), CNDR (Pisa, Italy).<\/p>\n\n\n\n
