Washing hands? Read a poem! Since corona we wash our hands more thoroughly than ever. How nice it is to read a beautiful Frisian poem during those twenty seconds? That is possible with Wjerspegelje<\/em>, a project of Leeuwarden UNESCO City of Literature and Merk Frysl\u00e2n.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

Wjerspegelje<\/em> is a project after the example of Zwolle (weerspiegelen.nl) and is implemented with the support of the province of Frysl\u00e2n.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The fifty Frisian poems by 28 poets can be found on mirrors in toilets at more than 200 locations throughout the province: in hotels, restaurants, libraries, schools and town halls. With the QR code you can also read the Dutch translations of the poems.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
